Regrettably, I produced these very basic floor plans in Microsoft Word - deeply frustrating experience, I don't recomend it. One day I will be able to use my copy of Dungeon Designer to do something better, I hope ....

This makes reading Busman's Holiday so much easier. I was getting all confused about which tower where and who turned this way and it was all confounding. Now I shall read it again with the plans and I'm sure those bits will stop annoying me with my lack of spatial awareness. I am amazed you had the patience to do it in Word.

I made the floorplans so that I didn't get lost writing the story :-) Although I have a pretty clear image of bloth Black Manor and The Rose House in my head, I'm not very good at keeping track of where everyone is when they're walking around inside the building. And working out where Remus's cellar is in relation to the bath-house and wine cellar is ... well, not something I can easily keep track of without a diagram *grin*

It was only when I was editing the story that I realised the readers might like the diagrams to hand too ...

I haven't mapped out The Rose House yet. Using Word was so frustrating (everything moved around the pages every time I touched the keyboard! I was almost ready to throw my PC out of the window) that Harry's house will have to wait until I've taught myself how to use Dungeon Designer.

I'm glad you found these useful :-)
